Antique Amish “Nine Patch” quilt. Holmes county, Ohio origin circa 1950. Colors are hard to photograph. The background is actually a pale denimy blue not grey and the back is a brighter blue. It is most like the large picture on the bed. Extensive hand quilting of daisy, clamshell, star and cable stitching at 9 stitches to the inch. The binding and back are blue and the quilt is thin. Size is 70″ x 82″

Mennonite “Monkey Wrench”, circa 1900. Holmes County, Ohio. Rope and other quilting at 8 stitches to the inch. Solid red on white calico block on a solid green background. The back of the quilt is white . Double borders of red and green. Fold line and age related spots on the back with a small old patch. 70″ x 86″. Price $495. Stock #18903.
